Jessica McKelson

Jessica McKelson is Founder Director of Raw Wildlife Encounters and Supervisor Primates at Melbourne Zoo, where she has worked since 2000. Jessica developed a deep passion for animal conservation during a confronting visit to Indonesia’s orang-utan habitats in 2003.

Amber Partington

Amber Partington is a Primate Keeper working in the Primate Department at Melbourne Zoo and has previous qualifications in animal technology. Having already completed several trips to Borneo, she embarked on her first Raw Wildlife Encounters tour in September 2010, leading the 12-day elephant odyssey tour. “This journey will change your life!”she says.

Mark Keenan

Mark Keenan trains Australian Fur Seals at Melbourne Zoo. He also researches marine ecosystems and Southern Ocean endemic species, a role which enables him to pursue his love of scuba diving and underwater photography. Previous roles have included working at the Zoo’s Orangutan in the Trail of the Elephants Precinct.

Fleur Butcher

Fleur Butcher grew up in the hills of Perth surrounded by wildlife. From a very early age she assisted in the care of many species of wildlife as a carer. Her passion for animals and the environment grew from this beautiful bush setting.

Dane Graham

Dane Graham’s love of the ocean and passion for marine conservation has blessed him with a life of adventure and excitement. As a professional scuba diver with a Rescue Diver’s license, Dane dives with some of the most amazing creatures on the planet, such as the bronze whaler sharks of Fiji and the Great White Sharks of Port Lincoln, South Australia.

Brooke Squires

Brooke Squires has worked in zoos, national parks and conservation areas around the world. These days, she divides her time between her beloved rhinos at Werribee Open Range Zoo, Victoria, where she is a rhino keeper, and the International Conservation Partnerships for Zoos Victoria.
