This exciting tour is a snapshot of some of the most amazing regions in North Sumatra. From watching the sun rise over the picturesque town of Berastagi to being captivated by the orang-utans at Bukit Lawang to trekking by elephant back through beautiful rainforests, this tour will enchant you every inch of the way.

Your first stop is Berastagi, a beautiful highland town about 60 kilometres from Medan and situated between the two active volcanoes of Mount Sibayak and Mount Sinabung. Get ready for a pre-dawn hike the next day to Mount Sibayak to watch a spectacular sunrise over the valleys and gardens of Berastagi. Then it’s on to Medan, the capital of North Sumatra, where you explore the markets and dine at the famous Merdeka Walk. On day four you go to Bukit Lawang, the home of the endangered orang-utan, where you will be captivated by these gentle animals as you observe them in their natural habitats. At Tangkahan, you feast on the exquisite cuisine of a Karonese banquet, river-tube down the Buluh River, trek on elephant back to the Bat Cave, and enjoy picnic lunches along the river. There is enough excitement, pleasure and adventure on this tour to gratify everyone.
