Fitness and Suitability Scale

Raw Wildlife Encounters assumes that you have researched your country of destination and understand the weather and environmental conditions you may encounter.

Participating in any travel program is always an unknown, so we encourage you to be open to new and exciting challenges. However, when travelling with Raw Wildlife Encounters, we recommend that you to select the level that meets your personal fitness standard and mind-enriching limits.

To help you decide which travel experience suits you best, we have tagged each tour with one of the following levels. If you have any doubts about your level or require further information, please email us at info@rawildlife.com.au.

Level 1: Easy – Immerse!

If your fitness is average, this is the level for you, especially if you just want to relax and participate in activities that are not too strenuous. The activities are optional, and some of them involve trekking in various terrains for 0.5 to 1 kilometre at a time. All you need for this level is good health and a sense of adventure.

Level 2: – Medium – Explore!

If you are in good health and your level of fitness is average, you can have a great time on this trip. The usual trekking distance is 3 to 5 kilometres at a time. Some terrains are steep; however, if you feel that you are unable to participate, we provide optional activities for you to enjoy. Camping and other outdoor activities are also included that are not physically strenuous.

Level 3: – Moderate – Discover!

At this level, you will be trekking from 5 to 10 kilometres a day in different terrains and altitudes, so you need a high level of fitness and good health. You must be physically prepared to participate, and as there are no alternative options, you won’t be able to opt out of the activities, which are not confined to trekking. Age is not a factor, but this level is not recommended for children under the age of 16.

Level 4: – Challenging – Limitless!

If you want to challenge yourself, then this is the level for you. Your health and fitness level must be excellent and you must have some experience in facing challenging adventures. You will be expected to participate in strenuous activities, difficult terrains, high altitudes, and long days trekking. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted on these adventures.
