Dane Graham’s love of the ocean and passion for marine conservation has blessed him with a life of adventure and excitement. As a professional scuba diver with a Rescue Diver’s license, Dane dives with some of the most amazing creatures on the planet, such as the bronze whaler sharks of Fiji and the Great White Sharks of Port Lincoln, South Australia.
Close involvement with several conservation groups (the Project Aware Foundation, the Palm Oil Action Group, and Earthlings) has ignited Dane’s determination to work towards protecting the oceans and marine species, in particular, the Great White Shark. Dane is also a follower of the Sea Shepherd.
Extensive travel has also familiarised him with diverse cultures and people around the world and exposed him to many different types of wildlife. Dane is just as at home trekking through a forest as he is diving 40 metres in the deep, dark ocean.
Dane’s love of the outdoors came from a childhood in a small town on the north coast of NSW, where he spent much of his time on the beach and in the national parks.
His overriding ambition is to become involved in shark research.
